Xiaomi has decided to roll out Mexican carrier Telcel firmware to the global variant of Mi A3. The company after acknowledging their mistake has asked users to not install the new OTA update – V18.104.22.168.QFQMXTC weighing 1.40GB.
According to various users, this update disables dual SIM functionality, brings new bootanimation, and two new system apps – Mi Telcel & Claro Musica. Amazing, isn’t it? Update disabling features 😂
As the poor quality of the updates with the Android One series by Xiaomi goes on, users are trying to get help on the social media platforms to no avail.
Making matters even worse, even Xiaomi isn’t sure if they can fix the update! This is what the company has to say: “We will try to see if there is a fix, BUT… once again… DO NOT UPDATE (if you have not already)!”
This is a particularly bad example of the low standards Xiaomi has set up for their so called premium Mi series of smartphones, along with the recent controversy on them adding banned Chinese apps into MIUI as system apps, makes everything worse for them.
