Sony understands how hard it is to get a PS5 and its accessories, so now it appears that they want you to use a banana and some other things as a PS5 controller!
According to a new report which surfaced online, Sony has registered a new “fruit” patent, in which if a person can use certain objects as a controller/peripheral. And yes, it is an actual banana, to which the firm has the following explanation: “It would be desirable if a user could use an inexpensive, simple and non-electronic device as a video game peripheral.”
The description of the original patent filing also reads the “The present disclosure seeks to address or at least alleviate some of the above-identified problems.” To tackle this issue, the company is working on a solution that will allow “non luminous passive object being held by a user.” This means that other objects such as a pencil, orange or pen might be able to have the same functionality!
Sadly enough, even though this is “futuristic”, there is no word from Sony regarding this and it doesn’t appear that they are working on any such device. But don’t worry, if you have a PS5, you can play the exclusive CoD playlist which stretches over an year!
